Even though most people have already heard Mraz’s album “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things:”, released this May, I will post this anyway along with other lesser-played songs. There has been a lot of hype around his song, “I’m yours”, although I find it very similar to Jack Johnson’s work. Although their music is very similar, why do so many people listen to Jason Mraz? Jason Mraz manages to create acoustic songs like Jack Johnson, however, also adds a lighter, jazz feeling to his songs. As I have already said before, I don’t want to focus on “I’m Yours” so I will move on to another song that caught my fancy. “If It Kills Me” is another of Mraz’s great songs. This slow tempo song makes for a great chill out session with its jazzy sound and smooth lyrics. I just figured with all the hype around “I’m Yours”, I would post “If It Kills Me” to show you Jason Mraz isn’t a “one trick pony”.
